The Last Stand Series (80 days of zombie attacks)

Alright then, picture this if you will. Your living just a few miles from civilization, when this whole disease outbreak is in affect, turning anyone that's infected into a zombie. Over time, nearly half of the population is infected and climbing, and millions of zombies are roaming around mindlessly in the towns and cities. You know they're heading your way...its time to make your last stand. (Last Stand 1)

It's been 40 days since the virus outbreak, and you managed to survive countless nights of zombie attacks. Just when you think its over, it's only the beginning. Your goal now is to make your way to Union City (the only city that hasn't been affected by the disease) where they're making evacuations to safer ground. However, you have only just 40 days to make it there, or you'll be left behind. It's time to move on, and make your last stand again.
(Last Stand 2)

This game requires you to defend yourself from zombies that are heading your way. Your goal, SURVIVE AT ALL COSTS!!!. (no really you need to survive to win). You start off with a hand gun, and a make shift barrier you made. In order to continue, you must find survivors, weapons, and make repairs of your barrier, while at the same time, surviving a wave zombies every night.

The first last stand game shouldn't be that hard for you to beat, but the second one is going to be a bit harder.

The second game is similar to the first, starting off with a handgun and another makeshift barrier you built during the day. However, this time your goal is to make it to Union City within 40 days. If you don't, you'll finished. This game adds in another feature, a map to different cities, allowing survivors to use the weapons you have, traps, and supplies. Gather enough supplies to head to the next city, choose wisely though, "more population=more of everything" (which means more supplies, survivors, traps, and zombies)

The key to this game is accuracy, and strategy. Accuracy because you need to aim to take the zombies out, and strategy because you need to choose the best weapon for yourself and your friends, and where to place traps .

If you have what it takes, there is a link below that will take you to The Last Stand 1, or Last Stand 2. Good luck, you'll need it.

(Warning: the game your about to play contains blood and gore graphics that are not suited for some people, play at your own risk)

Street Fighter 4 (Bringing back the Hadōken)

To all you street fighter fans out there, the series is not over yet. Street Fighter 4, now with 3-D graphics is now out for the X-box 360 and the Ps3. Started back in 1987 as an adventure game, it became a sensation when it was changed to a fighting game in 1991.

Ryu and Ken and his friends are back with another round of fighting (again) along with meeting new friends and fighting in new areas

The rules are the same as the previous series, you battle your opponent in a 3 round match, first to 2 wins, wins the match.

This game, i think is going to be the same as the first, but a whole lot better. Don't believe me, ask IGN and 1up. 1up gave this game an A and IGN gave it 9.3/10. Street Fighter 4 maybe better than Halo Wars, although i could be wrong.

The way i see this, this game will be hosted for parties, tournaments, world wide matches, movie theaters, malls. Almost this game will be out anywhere across the world and its a HUGE HIT!!!

Just thinking about it makes me feel like i wana get in the action, however I don't have a 360 or a PS3, so until then , i'll just save up enough money to buy one and play it.

P.S: if you want to look more into street fighter, there are sites below that will give you more info:

Halo Wars: And the battle continues (but will it live up to its name?)

The upcoming Halo game has brought up a lot of commotion. Since the Halo series is already over, they decided to add another chapter in the story. This time they take you back 20 years before Halo 1's story took place. Once again your up against the Covenant fighting over the planet Arcadia where they're starting a slaughter fest and invasion of the land. The UNSC is there to take it back.

Unlike the Halo series, this one isn't a fps (first person shooter). Instead its a strategy game, where your in command, expanding territory, raising an army, and commanding them where to go and fight.

Even though they changed the rating from "M"(Mature) to "T"(Teen), I doubt that it'll be a success like the last three. Here are the reasons why:
  • They should never have changed the style of the game, since the game takes back 20 years ago, they should have a fps character, like Master Chief, to control in the game.
  • Strategy gaming is going to bore people a lot. I mean if you ask me, I'd rather fight 1000 Covenant troops with only my handgun and grenades. Or use the "hammer of dawn" against 100 berserkers in "Gears of War". I mean there's no action, no fun in strategy games, all you do is just command people where to go and who to attack and stuff, no one wants to do that.
  • I would just keep the "status quo" of games. If one game is adventure, let it be adventure, or a fps, keep it the same way. Unless you want to change it (like as if your dying to change it), at least try to make it better from the previous games, otherwise, your just wasting your time, money, and energy creating it.
However, if this game does manage to pull off a good review, and a huge addiction for the players, then I'll reconsider saying "I doubt that it'll be a success like the last three".

If only it was summer *sigh*

Snow snow go away, come again some other day, or never come at all would be nice too. Winter to me is the worst season (besides fall). I mean you get 10 feet of snow in a blizzard, shovel the snow in below freezing temperatures, the wind will make it feel like -1000 degrees than 1 degree outside, and, IT FEELS LIKE THE LONGEST SEASON!!!

*sigh* i wish it was summer, no snow, no shoveling the snow under below freezing temperatures, yeah that would be nice. If only the groundhog wouldn't see his shadow every year we could have spring come sooner instead of six more weeks with Jack Frost.

Ace Combat: Sky's the limit

Picture this. A war between the allies and the enemy, that has taken over most of your territory. The only thing that your country has is a small airbase with little or no aircraft to fly to defend, the alarm goes off signaling that enemy bombers and fighters heading your way, destroying any weapons and aircraft that might slow them down. It's time to test your skills, the fate of your country lies in your hands. Will you change the tide of the war?

This story takes place in a world where "the sky's the limit". Aces from all around the world perfect their skills in case another war breaks out, and they want to get into the action.

You start off small in the game. A small aircraft, with only one or two sub-weapons you can carry, with a low speed, and a hard time maneuvering. Over time as you complete mission after mission, you'll earn credits depending how you rank on the mission (from rank C to rank S the higher the rank, the more credits you'll earn) which you can spend on new and better aircraft's to pilot from.

You also get a codename in the game, instead of calling you "Red 6" or "Black 10", you get a names like "Blaze", "Pixy", etc. which is kinda cool you know, i mean its better than just say a color and a number. Each Ace Combat game has a different codename so don't think you're playing the same person twice (but it would be kinda cool if you did).

Beating the game is easy, but getting all the aircraft is harder than you think. Just because you beat the game on an easy level, doesn't mean you beat the game. To me, beating an Ace Combat game is getting all the aircraft, all the medals, and having an S rank on all the missions from easy to Ace mode. I've done it before, it's not easy.

Overall, I think this would be a great game for people who want to be in the Air Force, and those who just want to fly an airplane. The graphics and the sounds feel like you're actually in the game fighting a war. So what do you say, you got what it takes to change the tide of the war?

The links below will give you more information about the game, and other Ace Combat games they made in other game systems. Enjoy!

Future Guitar Hero Games?

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Metallica, AC/DC, do you really think that they can create other guitar hero games based on artists. I mean think about it, they created Aerosmith, which was one of the greatest games so far (until Metallica comes out) AC/DC is still under development. But what about other artists that might be featured in Guitar Hero or Rockband; such as, System of a Down, Tool, Korn, Guns n' Roses, Linkin Park, and other bands.

You know, Guitar Hero or Rock Band might be a source for rising artists that have what it takes to compete in the music business. I mean the more people who play the songs and like it, the more popular the artist/song it'll be, eventually it could be in a top 40 in a radio station, music video, etc. You never know what can happen.

Guitar Hero Vs Rock Band

Guitar Hero and Rock Band, two of the best selling games ever in the 21 century (besides halo, Call of Duty, and Gears of War). I have a feeling there's going to be some competition between the two when it comes to a guitar, bass, singer, and drums. They always want to be in the top. It doesn't really matter what kind of game it is, I like both Guitar hero and Rock band because of the songs. The songs from both games i love are these:

Guitar Hero:
  • B.Y.O.B-System of a Down
  • Assassin-Muse
  • Crazy Train & Mr Crowley- Ozzy Osborne
  • Vicarious, Schism, and Sober- Tool
  • Cult of Personality-Living Color
  • Scream, Aim, Fire-Bullet for my Valentine
Rock Band:
  • Give it All-Rise Against
  • Testify-Rage Against the Machine
  • Chop Suey-System of a Down
  • Painkiller-Judas Priest
  • Let There Be Rock- AC/DC
  • Almost Easy-Avenged Sevenfold
There are a lot more songs i love in the two series, but i had to limit to my top 6. Since I play expert in both games (which is the hardest difficulty you can get) these two never get too old, fast notes, great rhythm and the lyrics. Plus when you play with your friends, its 4 times more fun than playing alone, because come on, who doesn't want to sing their best songs and don't have to get hit with tomatoes and pies.

Not only this helps me improve my finger skills for guitar in the game, but it also helps me at the actual guitar. If you want to take your skills to the test, then try playing the songs in an actual guitar than just pushing 5 buttons on a plastic guitar.

Dance Dance Revolution

Dance Dance Revolution. One of the best games you could play while at the same time get a good workout.

The game is simple:
  • step on the arrows you see on the screen
  • try not to lose
  • try not to fall too (if you can't balance yourself on the dancepad)
The songs there are in Japanese so your not really going to understand the lyrics (unless you speak japanese). But they're really good, some you can find on youtube.

There are three skills you will work on while you play
  1. Speed
  2. Balance
  3. Coordination
  4. Reaction Time
If you're good with all four of these skills (or at least one of them), you'll like this game a lot.

One last thing. It won't matter what kind of game system you got, Dance dance revolution is in all of the game systems (Playstation 2, PS3, X-BOX 360, X-BOX, and the Wii)

I have dance dance Supernova at my house with a dance pad, and based on experience, its a really good game, especially if you want to get all the songs.

Guitar Hero: Metallica songlist is out!

Yep the title says it all. As the deadline for Guitar Hero: Metallica is around the corner, the song list in the game is revealed.

Some of the songs from Metallica that are my favorite are these: (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3172451)
  • For Whom The Bell Tolls
  • The Memory Remains
  • Wherever I May Roam
  • Sad But True
  • Nothing Else Matters
  • And many many more.
I'm telling you, the moment the stores are opening at the day this games comes out, I'm sure there's going to be a HUGE line of people waiting to try it, because if you ask me, this band rocks.
Long live Metallica!
\m/ (-_-) \m/

(in case you don't know what that is...it means rock on)

Guitar Hero: Metallica

Just when you think Guitar Hero: World Tour and Aerosmith is enough for you, there's more where that came from. From what i've heard, Metallica's coming out in March, with a song list that might be worth playing. From its classic songs like "Nonething else matters" to their latest song "The Day that Never Comes". If you have a PS3 or an X-Box 360 not only you can buy additional songs online but also:
  • Play against your friends and other people online
  • Be in a 4-player Co-op and play like an actual band
  • Follow the footsteps as the band on the road to stardom
I have a feeling that this game will be a hit, just like the other Guitar Hero games so far, and maybe attract more people to listen to Metallica
